they are coming out once I have built the lads table. they were to allow the roof to take 16 stones when I was felting it. my head has banged into them more times then I can remember (pun intended). what I have done on my half is to have removable vertical 3" post supports. ie I can remove them if they are getting in the way, leave them in if not.

if I was doing it again I would make it gable, I thought a slopping roof would be easier. a mistake I think. made a lot of them but hey ho

Hope you get on with the neighbours as you would not comply with planning on the size of it.Rather large to get away saying its a man cave.

Nice job and agree about spruce, treated with creosote it'll last forever.  It's what they used to make fish boxes from and the sea water preserved them.  We used them as go-kart boxes when we were kids and they lasted forever.

it complies as the site previously had a building on it (an old school hall) plus less than 2.5m within 2m of boundary wall. i also give my neighbour free firewood😘
