Despite the off the wall charms of the other threads I'm involved in; I am a tree surgeon too. I have a 200t that is now on it's third Chain break in two years. Previous to this model coming out I have used 020's for nearly 20 years and I don't remember 1 breaking ever!

seeing as this is a fairly important link in the safety of an operator; do we think that someone is messing with us?

 

look after it more!!!!!!!!!!! in nrly 5 years i have NEVER broke a chain break.............

The oil caps don't work properly. If they did, then they would always work just by turning them, or it would say in the manual that you will need to find the secret combination of tweakery to master closing the cap, 3 weeks after buying the saw which, at first, was perfectly simple, or else suffer oily hands / trousers / customers driveways.

 

I have bust a chain break handle and 2 fuel pipes on the 200t's in my 3 1/2 years.

 

Just like to point out that the husky 357 i use has had 4 new pistons and the auto-decompression had to be replaced with manual.

ha must be me then, i can go years with out breaking them and then get a run usually due to been in a rush and......

1.making a leap then the saw bounces off the trunk and it breaks.

2 standing on in whilst distracted by somthing else.

3 pulling it to hard through a crutch.

4 i have no idea but maybe one of the above!

in all honesty the 200t i cant fault it but like to winge about somthing ....considering how abused and how hard it works my 200t's have done me proud:proud:

I've only ever broke one chain brake handle, when I accidently threw my 200 40ft out of a tree, forgot to clip it to my harness:wave:

 

i was lucky i threw mine out of the tree on sat from about 15 ft only problem was it was still attached to my harness and in my hands at the time but the saw was ok:bawling::bongsmi::bongsmi:
