Its an ill wind that blows no one any good!

 

Last Jan the wind brought me three weeks work in one night!

Well that's just confirmed what I always thought - BBC weather forecasts are just a load of random symbols thrown at a map!

Thing is if your well booked up people won't wait and i hate letting regular clients down. If it's an emergency fair enough.

I tend to find they don't mind waiting if you're dealing with trees that are dangerous.

 

Also storm damage work tends to be more interesting than some other work,and pay better,so if i loose some of the other work thats life:wave:

We've had 70mph+ winds three times this year in scotland, the dammage has not been as bad as you might expect though i have been doing some windblow lately. I think the trees need to be in leaf to really suffer a lot of dammage. I have noticed a big rise in jobs from people who are worried about trees having seen them swaying in the wind rather than suffering any actual dammage.

 

Its a shame when trees come down before their time as it were, the storm in 87 must have been a boon for tree surgeons but I would'nt want to see it again.

is it me or do you find that the carnage happens every 4/5 years must clear it for a bit
