Will a petzl zig zag work with this rope

I want to try a zig zag am hoping it will work ok with the rope I already have I heard its doesn't work well with chubbier stuff I know specs on paper say up to 13mm but my mate said it won't work well with what I have which is 12.6mm. Thanks

yes  it works very well, i have this exact set up, not gonna lie it would be smoother on a smaller diameter rope but it is designed for a 11.5 mm - 13 mm rope so slap it on there and climb safe!!

one thing to bear in ,mind is that older ropes can become slightly fatter and miss shappen, and i have seen on a poison ivy rope that when it got wet, and left in the van overnight in freezing conditions it froze and expanded slightly, the lad thawed it out in the house and it returned to its normal size, just might be worth bearing in mind but i will be sticking to my yale xtc plus all day long!
