Did I tell you guys about the time I took down a 600 foot redwood in the grounds of the Pentagon using only my Echo 2511?

I had F16’s air dropping fuel and oil.

It was an intense 2 hours, but I got it down safely, mainly self rigged.

18’ diameter at the stump.

No pics, unfortunately.

Mate I topped a redwood with toe nail clippers, I swam to the job across the Atlantic ocean in my harness and spikes.

No, but go on, sounds bloody interesting.

Sorry mate, I’m not really allowed to say any more.

National security etc.

I did receive a very nice letter of personal thanks from Abraham Lincoln, though.

He was on holiday in Dubai at the time, with Winston Churchill.

Another decent grcs job, another firm that didn't believe in the system, tops came out as lumps ready to sned and run into the chipper.

Shed in one direction, river in the other.

Had a conifer to remove which we pulled up and off the sheds in lumps, saved bundles of hard work

All in all it went damn well

Eucs and leylandii are like peas and carrots. I did a lovely can-you-just in Birmingham where the client wondered whether we'd have time to also remove ten or twelve, 8-16" DBH conifers in a line. Considering I had just made the last brash cut on a neighbouring eucalyptus with a perfect craning point, we said yes and Hobbsed them all the way to the bank.

Did my first proper job with my proper GRCS the otber day. Lovely thing. It'll have to be a rough, rough job for

me to get the Hobbs out now.
