MS391 oil leak

I wonder if someone can help me. I was milling with my Stihl ms 391 last week when the saw ended up smoking.It turns out the circlip had come off the rim sprocket so no oil distribution. I have replaced rim and sprocket, bearing and clutch and everything is running well thankfully except oil is leaking from underneath . It is still oiling the bar and chain but it is oozing out from under the sprocket . The machine never leaked before. Is the oil pump needing replaced or could seals or something have gone with the overheating ?   Any advice welcome.

Just strip it down and see where the oil is coming from!

Yeah well we don't all do that for a living that's why I was looking for a bit of advice.

The only other advice ( if you are not prepared to work on it yourself ) would be to give it to someone who does do it for a living perhaps ?

Sell it to me I will give you £50 then I will carefully take it apart find out I’ve not got a clue what’s wrong then I’ll send it to spud saw fixed simples!!!!

It's a 64cc saw I wouldn't think it was up to milling for long anyway. The oil oozing out has to be bar oil so it's probably a pipe split but if you don't tinker or dismantle it you'll be no wiser whatever is suggested. You've already had the clutch off and the sprocket and bearing out it's only a couple more screws to get at the oil pump and see what the problem is.

64cc saw will mill just fine depending on what width boards your cutting (max 24")

MS 391 is a semi pro / farm saw anyway . There was a spate of them having oil tanks crack I seem to remember .
