right - so my austria duo 3.2 is comming to the end of its working life, had it over 5 years, thinking of switching to something else. Had a TM before the Austria - hated the way the thing would end up riding high when limb walking etc and mates with the new ones have issue with self adjusting buckles - BUT the TM was pretty comfy and good on the old back.

Harnesses im considering currently are

Courant Koala v1.2

Edelrid TreeRex

Petzl sequoia

Notch Sentinel

Not much chance to try stuff where im based.

Won't be long till I retire my tree Austria... Pretty poor that the buckles are brass and alloy etc... Having the latches on the buckles seize up constantly due to supposed corrosion between the surfaces where the latches are. Only just over 2 years old aswell

Back to a full fat tree motion next. Had a TM light before and it was aweful. TM full fat was a great harness!

Was it a 3.2? Never had any real issues with the buckles. I would be tempted to get a new TM but mates who bought the latest version all complain about the waist strap comming loose all the time

Aye it’s shocking ... can’t believe they have put this garbage on and wrecked a once great harness , I would not buy or recommend another... really pissed off I wasted my money on one and the new style isn’t cheap!

I never got on with a sequoia, leg straps always came undone, never found it comfortable. Had a butterfly which I liked, use a stein vega now and I don’t have a single complaint about it. Nice and lightweight, never gets caught up, comfy, back never hurts. But it’s all down to personal preference, size weight etc got to have a hang in them first

I’am in the same position at mo and after doing a bit of research and asking a few questions  I have decided to go for the TreeRex..it ticks all the boxes as far as usability is concerned and it’s not silly money either...plus it looks good.
