 Thanks Mark

My larger one is a Macallister from B&Q, and has been good. I'm currently doing most with an Evolution saw though, and it makes a very nice cut. Also, nails aren't an obstacle. I've got the middle sized one, the 210mm.  There's a 255mm one if you need bigger capacity, and also a high capacity 210mm.

Evolution here too, bought their biggest one cheap off their website shop soiled which saved a bit over Screwfix. Are you sure the base/fence isn't adjustable on your Erbauer to get it cutting straight again though? Normally it's only when the bearings and pivots get so sloppy they don't cut straight and need chucking away but even that might be mendable.

I have a big 315mm dewalt one which I wouldn't be without, but I recently bought a small straight forward mitre saw which is erbauer. It has a nice 90mm deep cutting depth I think and about 120mm wide. Cost less than £100. It's nice and light to carry too. It's my go to saw for most things now.

I've found evolution stuff not really well made and prone to breaking.

Evolution here too for last 3 years. Very good apart from the laser which is not bright enough

A mate recently bought a laser level for studwork, bricks etc from the middle aisle of Lidl. All very impressive on his kitchen counter. Useless in even a barely bright shed the next day.
