My question is: As the Stihl 020t followed the 020av, will the 020t chain brake fit the 020av or is the clutch ring on the 020t different to the 020av . IF thats the only difference, is it possible to fit an 020t clutch to an 020av drive shaft to solve the problem, or is there other differences.  I would request only those with the experience and knowledge of  this conundrum to reply, because guessing only confuses the problem.  I realise the the brake mechanism with lever and hand guard will have to be obtained. Thanks .

I think Eric will need his saw serial number to hand..

but my guess (not that’s it’s wanted ?). The 020t is different it uses a shorter bearing.. 3mm so I’m thinking the clutch drum is shorter as well

I don’t know what the problem is but maybe looking for 2nd hand parts or nos may be the way forward ??

edit if you look at the ipl"s online you can see the chain break band has different fittings.

TBH, I don't know but I do know the clutch drum is completely different. The 020T and mS200T are completely interchangeable but the 020AV is nothing like them and suspect none of the parts will fit - I don't have one now, flogged it for £60 to a kid that loved it!
