Shrub/ small tree ID please.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I'm leaning towards Osmanthus, Daphne or Cornus.

The heads of flowers are very Daphne like.  I'd plump for odora.  Can you smell the flowers before you see the plant almost? - Daphne - very fragrant.

Looks like a lilac but abit different  so  chinese lilac or something

Syringa microphylla maybe? Is it very scented?

I'd go with a daphne... Flowers look too open in habit for lilac .... it'll have an incredibly strong scent ....

I think I'll go with Daphne.
I haven't seen it in the flesh  so don't know what it smells like.

I went with Daphne once .  She worked at West Sands Caravan Park .

Did she have a strong scent?  If so definitely Daphne and not Lilac.
