iv been looking to get one for my ranger too,but the prices are ridiculous..so im going to have a go at putting one together myself, you could try getting matey with a steel fabricator..i reckon theyd do it for half the price of ARB etc..

when i get round to mine il post pics..

good luck anyways bud

i spoke to a fabricator and to make something to fit my truck would cost me 450 - 500 quid , at least if you buy a winch mount from a company you may have some come back if it breaks etc

i have learnt the hard way before when trying to save a few quid - it dont work , simples!

Don’t forget that changing the bumper is a modification and you ought to tell your insurers.

Last week a loss adjuster knocked back a front end damage claim on my mates discovery because he hadn’t told them about the winch he fitted.

Insurers don’t need much of an excuse not to pay out.

Sorry to revive an old thread but this could be of intrest to others, i have just got my self a 55 plate ranger which i want to fit a superwinch husky 8 winch with a winch bumper but not one of these winch box style bolt on jobbies.

I have a conection who is a fantastic fabricator with access to cnc laser cutting folding etc tooling and i am looking to have a winch bumper built so if any one is intrested i will produce a batch.

I have done this before i make sell reproduction VW panels and have shipped the all over the world

Please i would be intrested in hearing from other ranger/mazda 2500 owners as to what features thay would be intrested in ???

I was just looking to include a pair of spot lights recovery points.
