My wife and I just had a 30 second conversation about feeding some grapes to the chickens.

My wife thought they may be harmful.

So typed in:

Can chickens eat

The first option before I'd finished typing the above was:

Can chickens eat grapes?

I'd have thought that it's more likely because that's a commonly googled question. But your phone is listening to you. I've had loads of instances where I've discussed something I don't usually discuss and then I get adverts for it.

What do you suggest then?  Any ideas?

The only sure way is to pull the battery, which coincidentally Apple will not let you do.

So you're left with the option of removing each and every app from your device, yet still letting your phone manufacturer 'see' what you're doing and using incognito mode on your browser or better yet using a Tor browser.

Or just accepting it.

It doesn’t bother me.  I have most apps disabled access to microphone.

I don’t get that many coincidences of discussing stuff with the wife and then it appearing in google...

Thats ‘cos I don’t talk to the wife. ;)
