that looks great dave, how does it tow?does it bounce about a lot, all the ones i have known end up living on an ifor williams

 

It tows ok behind my L200 so long as not going above 50mph and you are not going too far with it. Also depends on state of roads. The info with it reckons it can be towed up to 60mph, I think.

It is quite heavy and has counter weight near the coupling so not too much bounce

 

Has twin speed pump, auto return, 10Hp B&S petrol engine

Can be used horizontal as well as vertical and can split 1m long timber easily

(13T splitting pressure)

Bought it last summer, hiring it out with operator from £25/hour. Had 3 clients so far where I have just turned up to split their own logs.

Theres an ebay firm called Harrows are us,they do all sorts of splitters tow alongs at various prices,i bought mine from them and im well pleased.

Been using a Thor for over a year now for my own use and some sales.

Seems to handle most stuff and is very safe for others to use if I'm away.

Use the link on here for Riko, i bought the a12 road towable and its wicked, really powerful, can be pulled around by one person easily. I offer the service of slitting the trees i fell for clients and 8/10 times its extra work from the job. Brilliant bits of kit.

I hire mine to customers who are physically capable of using such a machine, that way I make money from the splitting but don't actually do anything! I offer it when they say "what am I supposed to do with those rings"

 

£150 for a week inc vat and delivery, only been hired about 5 times but it makes it all helps.

I was looking at log splitters and also have to say Chris at Riko was really helpful.

 

I was looking at the towable self powered processers..... but I came to the conclusion they're not really made for day in day out use....

 

But these towable vertical/horozontal self powered splitters look the business.

Well you know I'm well happy with mine m8! Tommer put up a vid of mine on Youtube (search for riko log...) and riko commented about the one handed operation LOL!
