Our bluebells are very late - a neighbour's 50yds away are in full flower - but we have the ample compensation of a good show of wood anemones for now

Been planting some new woodland stuff; Corylopsis and Hamamelis (dark red flower, not scented).

Elsewhere in the garden Viburnum plicatum and a very small Drimys

For me, spring starts December 22 after the shortest day, then snowdrops etc with the first bulbs showing. My wife thinks late April is her favourite time of year but I prefer early May, more colour and warmer. This pic was taken at end of day hence the unusual hueea2c0016b61df1fc4f652b74958f4fbe.jpg
