Hi all,

My trusty husky 440, that I use for light firewood, is needing replaced, it's been a cracking wee saw and I've been very happy with it. It will need replaced soon so should I go new for old or is there a better altermative. I would prefer husqvarna as my other saws are husqvarna. Would even consider battery if people thought they were up to the job. Budet could go to £300 max.

Your sage opinions would be highly appreciated.

Sorry to slightly hijack this thread but has Dolmar now disappeared as a chainsaw brand totally replaced by Makita ?

(was going to suggest the Dolmar equivalent to above).

The Dolmar 420 seems available here in France, but then so are Husqvarna 346, 390, 395 & 3120's

I seem to recall a 420 was around 350 euros so that would be a good solution, Shavey used to import them.

As far as I know you can still get Orange saws and Blue saws .  Shavey will confirm this ( or not ) @shavey

It's just if you do a search for Dolmar it defaults to the Makita site.

I know the Dolmar brand has disappeared  in the US.

PM Shavey .
