Basically my Airstreams were worn out and Rich and another couple of climbers I work with had already got the Andrews and rated them.
Handy little built-in loop for the HAAS as well.

The red also goes with my face.
Thanks, after a little reading they seem to not be rated so well for spikes. 95% of my work is spike climbing - would you still reccomend?

I get on fine, and I’m usually on spikes.

The Pfanner Zermatts are very well rated for spike work, though I’ve never tried them.

@Stephen Blairwould know, and how warm they are.

Never been to a tea room dance so shouldn't be an issue. What about walking through a forest? I find the airstreams are actually pretty clunky and restrictive are the zermatts the next level for spiking comfort or are they good to walk in too?

Yeah, had a pair of M airs but i too suffered cold feet, even when not that cold. Something that has not happened to me in the past. I have a pair of the Scafell arbortec which are real comfy and ok with spikes. First pair i had split round the heels only 6 months in! Just bought another pair (3 weeks ago) and will see how these go. Tried the other boots they had but none felt as comfy. I have been meaning to give the Zermatts a go, next time.

Be interested to hear if these new Meindle boots are as cold as the airstreams, if anyone knows??
