Tree Blasting

We did some blast felling in Speyside about 10-15 yrs ago. There was a large windblown lying on top of 2 or 3 trees which were all overhanging the road. Local TA's set the charges and blew them  as a demolition exercise.

Back in the 90's, I had a bizarre conversation with a chap who thought that we ought to be using a lot of det cord wrapped around limbs near the overhead network to produce coroner cuts. The additional cost and risks far outweighed the value!
