New 261 idling cut out

Before I return to the point of sale thought I'd ask for advice here. Brand new ms 261c. 1 week out of the box and has just been used for cutting heathland scrub. It starts first time at the beginning of the day but after that it has trouble starting unless you hold the trigger and pull. If you don't rev it it cuts out straight away. It won't idle at all.

I have tried the reset move but it won't idle so I can't reset it.

Fuel/ fueline/ carb problem? Or easier to just give back to honeys?

I think it would be best to follow the above advice and take it back to the dealers rather than start stripping it down and invalidating the warranty.

The only other things I would check is the spark plug gap is 0.5mm, I have had a few stihl and husky machines that wouldnt idle during a pdi due to a small plug gap, that and the flywheel gap which should be .25-.30 mm, a large gap can cause the same issues.
