Not unusual, have a job to do soon a large windblow sweetchestnut and the client seemed surprised we want to winch the root plate back into place.

I assume he was underneath the root ball and trying to relieve the last few roots?

 

Sad loss but it pays to use the right gear and not support +2 tonnes of wood and soil with some timber props and a car jack?

Shame really that someone was doing their best and but for an unfortunate accident could well have suceeded. We have all taken risks at times and just occasionally we don't win. RIP and condolences to his family at this time of year.
