The p500 doesn't have spikes on the back it has 4 rubber pads. I've had it for a few years now and well happy with it.

tree runner do two sized bollards, the small one has rubber pads and is a nice handy small bollard, the bigger one is a serious lump with spikes on it, feels impossible to bend or damage, so id go with the bigger one if you want to lower big bits. both well made and nice to use,

I have the p500 and the guy I usually work for has both p500 and p3000. I like them both, and it's handy having both. The p500 is perfect for small rigging, where the tree is staying. You only really want to take the p3000 out of the truck if you are going to rig big, it's a heavy unit.

I use buxtons (treehog) bollard, cost me 190 quid, takes 14mm rope, comes with bag and 2 ratchet straps, has rubber pads on the back so a good all rounder for lowering whilst retaining trees, on a dismantle, just notch it in. It maybe cheaper or more expensive than others, I'm not sure on the whole specs all I can say is the bollard is only good when someone runs it well. All the best with the self employment [emoji106]
