Hi . Looking to buy a new splitter , needs to be petrol/diesel engine and ideally towable . Will be mainly for splitting rings , mainly ash and maple  .

I usually do approx 300m3 a year so looking for something fairly robust , considering a 12t petrol AMR as they look well made but can't find much said about them anywhere

Anyone own/used one ? They're quite pricey (approx £4500+vat) compared to other towable splitters  like the Venom or Oxdale but look better built .

Don't know anything about the make in terms of reliability, but from looking at the pictures, doesn't seem a good machine for splitting rings. I would want a decent table and log lift

The Venom is imported from China and stamped with a uk badge, email them and ask and you’ll get no reply, that’s not to say they’re not a bad machine.

Thor do a road towable. I’ve recently got a magik, can’t fault it for my needs.

Seen one demoed at the APF but might have been the 16t version. Good sized blade and quick cycle time and as you say well built. If I needed a mobile self-powered splitter it would be on my shortlist

I was looking at the AMR, from what I could find out they are good well made splitters and I very nearly bought one. Went with Posch in the end though, seems good and strong but not heavily used yet to report durability.

Were they branded as woodline before I have the 20 ton horizontal pto version good splitter but I have blown the end of the ram off Had it welded up by my local welder been fine since we can average about 1.8m3 an hour through it
