Greenmech quadchip

Awesome will have a look thanks you had a greenmech before? What sort of money is it?

Yes I've had two and the quadchip was by far the best of them for performance against size, very cheap to run and maintain, blades took some serious abuse and for the price of new was hardly worth sharpening them but now gm have a jig available for home sharpening it's even better. The turntable was brilliant for domestic works as you could always point it to where the brash was coming from and good on roadside as could easily keep staff on the pavement/verge.
I'd have a word with John about some finance as borrowing money in reality is cheap at the moment.
The problem with cheaper small machines is they are high hrs and lots of use so most likely be at the point wher more money is needed to keep them efficient and if its your primary machine can easily become a headache, I know I've been there!

That's my mates old machine. Nothing wrong with it he just upgraded to a big tp chipper. It will be a lovely machine for someone.

Those TW150s still fetch very good money, I was very happy with what Adam Redhead gave me for my 2004 machine a couple of years back.

 

I only used a Quadchip once and was very impressed.

Fingers crossed its done 1050 hours i bought it of a guy on ebay and have pretty much rebuilt it cost over £2000 on parts from spectrum which have all the receipts for and the machine was £6500!

I bought a new one less than 18 months ago it is a nice machine with some nice features and 'it does the job'.  It is very economical to run (i am not bothered about fuel economy though).  However i have used much better 6'' machines and the Quadchip  doesn't exactly impress me that much therefore if i was buying again i'd probably buy a Timberwolf 230 diesel (although that machine does not have the turntable feature) as they are much more aggressive and hungry.  I have had a couple of issues since buying it,  one issue was not sorted out properly under warranty and it ended up costing me money to have it fixed,  the other issue was very minor and was dealt with just fine.  It has corrosion issues on the underside of the infeed hopper which i will talk to GM about next week.  Overall it'll be fine for most of what you are doing i guess, but i find the infeed weak compared to the likes of Forst, TW, etc.

Oh ok pk that's good to know my place place had 4 forst st8 and there build quality was terrible paint falling off roller shafts snapping trailer axles snapping major problems granted their warranty service is first class but that was after only 6 months on all 4 machines so think they all have issues but will certainly look at corroisn etc if get a second hand machine for sure.

Have had my 150p now for around 18months and very pleased with it,however like yourself I have had paint issues especially with the grey chassis were it has been flaking and peeling off but thankfully it’s a Greenmech and all it took was a email and a couple of photographs and the team at Greenmech we’re straight on the case.

 

i got in touch with Martin and Spencer at Greenmech At the factory in Alcester and within 10 minutes I assured it would be sorted ASAP...ok you like me would think ya ok I bet this drags on and on but even as we speak now my Chipper is in there shop being stripped down and having a complete respray.

 

And even though they couldn’t get me a 150 to lend they got me a nearly new 130 to have for the time it will take to complete which will be around 2 weeks.

 

i know in the great scheme of things it may have been a case of me being funny and asking for a new machine replacement but i’am so impressed with the way I have been treated and Greenmech staff and professionalism in dealing with my problem there was no way I was going to argue the toss about replacing the machine.

 

jase at the factory is the work shop manager and he met me at the factory and ran through a few things and is dealing with everything.

 

this is one of the main reasons I have always had Greenmech apart from they are really great machines I can’t think of another company helping out the small guy as I don’t spend £££££££££ just a single Machine every couple of years.

 

i have been thinking bout the Quadchip for a while now but have just seen the new Evo165 and now just not sure.

 

so with your paint issues wick...I wouldn’t worry because going by my exspierance you won’t have any problems getting it sorted it’s just time in getting it done.

Cant find the new price for a quadchip though what everyone paying for one?
