Chain grinder

I have just recently entered the world of chainsaw milling , only in a small way to do projects for myself from wood I can access from some of the country houses I keep the grounds for. I have a wee Logosol Farmers Mill and am using my Stihl 391  so am at basic entry level. Could someone give me some advice on what chain grinder I should get to keep a proper edge on the chains without going into crazy money as I am not making any money out of this as just doing stuff for myself just now till I get the hang of it .( if that day ever comes !! ).

Buy a set of diamond stones though, information on them towards bottom of page.

The cheap plastic ones aren't worth buying.
They have too much play/movement to accurately grind.
There are various manufacturers of decent grinders. Oregon,stihl,husky etc
It's worth spending a few hundred pounds for a reliable machine.
A sharp,regular toothed, correct depth gauged chain means everything in milling.

I know others disagree but I find the Lidl one very good. With a bit of care and a gentle touch, it can do a spot on job every bit as good as a new chain. You get a better edge from a file though

I got mine from china via fleabay, I just did a search by bore and diameter etc and there were several options, but £1.99 with free delivery took some beating from ROC though....

I have one from Logosol on the bench and did use the granberg before that
