Is that Harlequin hedge youve been making?

That used to be available from Cheviot trees many years ago where you bury the bottoms of the willow in the ground and it grows up to form a hedge. nice alternative to leylandii and instant too.

Bazbro, it is willow yes, I haven't heard the name harlequin hedge though. Just called it a willow fence! There's a kids den in the corner, and that a metre or so away to make a barrier with a couple of child size arches for going in and out. That's my first go at it, there was already a willow dome there put in a few years before. I'm planning a willow bird hide next year.
