i have sold fair bit of wood this year.

all firewood burns. i sell 130 a for a high side tipper load thats been dried for about 3 to 6 months. No complaints....firewood all burns in open fire.

I think for folks down in England firewood is a luxury at 240 a load.

Up here people burn it to save money..and need it cheap. most people up here would rather buy discs and split it them selfs to save money.

My Firewood is green as can be but costumers would rather pay 130 for green firewwod and let it dry themselfs rather than crazy prices.

Have the same amount again, but only 3 months dry. However, they ARE dry and will burn. Do a burn test at home on these and the product is dry.

So, felled in August/September(ish) and it's dry after 3 months? - I think your idea of 'dry' may be at odds with other peoples ideas of 'dry'...

You can get wet wood to burn, but it will give out less heat and will knacker up your chimney.

As we get more environmentally friendly and the price of fossil fuels become harder to produce more and people will turn to a more sustainable source of energy.

Well I hope so 'cos my woodland management plan involves growing Ash coppice instead of conifer plantation. Ash grows really well there.

It's split and stacked indoors as soon as it reaches the yard. So.. yes it's dry.
