Got a load of firewood and a fair bit of it is showing signs as per the pics. Milled a small log today and got some decent boards, no soft patches so hopefully the rest will turn out the same.

Not a clue what they will end up being used for just can’t bring myself to chop it up for firewood ?‍♂️

Maxed out the 56" bar on the 60" panther mill yesterday cutting the big burr. Cut 6" off each side?
Or get out the 84" bar and set up the 80" panther mill....[emoji848]

Finally found a Saw and bar combo I can't lift...

No wounder you got a bad back with that ? is it your set up for a bit of high reach pruning ?????

Bet that’s a sickener to sharpen if you hit some metal etc.

Even a 48” chain is bad enough! I wonder if there is much extra teeth to sharpen on a chain that size of it’s a skip, or even a hyper skip chain?

I use the Granberg precision sharpener when out with the Alaskan. Saves a lot of time if you hit metal. Almost to the point that it’s quicker and easier sharpening a 48” chain than removing the saw from the mill and changing the chain over for a fresh one.
