Baby’s first floor: 

Alder laid but fastenings not finished yet in our new bathroom. Am screwing it to a subfloor through an acoustic mat. Not sure what to finish it with yet.

Uncovered this log in the brambles.
At the back of our site, Solid heart wood and no sign of wood worm. Milling up 4” slabs. Pretty sure it’s chestnut. Was hoping it was oak, but seems not.

Hi,

 

Does anybody know if there is anybody with a mobile/Alaskan saw mill near Haworth west yorks ?

And what the going rate is ?

I am looking at buying one but the outlay is quite abit for a 881 and a panther mill 😀
