Easier said than done with many Stihl dealers, especially if your only local one is a tractor dealer who know sweet FA about saws. Fortunately DM saws are brill.

We have one like that up here, tractor sales n service but he is a Husky dealer as well and if it cant be fixed with 2ft addjustable , 3/4 socket set and a 7lb lump hammer, it cant be fixed, they are US,

We have one here as well, they are shite, just want to sell you new machines and over charge for chains etc.
Recently my 880 spat out c clip sprocket and needle bearing as I started back cut on 3’ dbh dead oak, sprocket found but alas needle bearing knackered n clip evaporated!
I called 5 Stihl dealers and none had bearing or clip, so I called Halls Power Equipment a husky dealer and they found me the bits ‘out back’ immediately!
I find they’re the only saw specialist who carry a good amount of bits n bobs for almost any pro saw. None of these bigger dealers seem to carry even the most basic of spares on the shelf.
I always buy my new saws from Halls in spite of them being 50 odd quid more as there service and back up is superb!
