Every cut above, below and including the center cut of a log thats cut through and through is quarter sawn anyway, just keep these back if thats what you are after

I wonder if there’s a reason people don’t use such highly figured wood in floors? Maybe I’ll have to issue a warning to epileptics. Still - I’m pleased to have achieved this little landmark.

He’s sold his forrester and the generator to go with it. Looked like a cracking bit of kit too for the big hardwoods. 
Yeah he’s a nice guy to deal with. Very knowledgeable.

Bit more milling today. Having had the 881 now a couple months I’m finding it a joy to get through quite a few cuts in a few hours. Also been using the 48” lo pro bar and chain and the combination of these seems to work really well.
