Awesome! Always fun with a project.

I have a second Charger that needs full resto as well. :D

Anyway, back on track,  before I left I milled some Yew. Heavy bloody stuff. No idea what I'll do with it, but its there anyway.

That’s got some interesting colours for yew , a lot darker brown colour , last two I’ve had on the mill have come out purple and white.

How do you get on with drying the cherry rough? I’ve found it one of the worse , only one I’ve not had go crazy was dead on the stump but I picked up a nice stick the other day and thinking of leaving it for a few years before sawing.

If you have the time and space, seasoning the whole trunk would be great.
I sell all my timber green.
Ive got very little space for stock.
Cutting 2"-3" slabs are more stable.
We are cutting 1.5" off these cherry as it's been down a few years.

Cool, never seen one other than in the brochure. [emoji3] Give us a quick write up on it when you get the chance. Pricey bugger eh?

Cuts wide timber [emoji3] seriously though it’s good in terms of being able to quickly pick your cutting plane so you can break down timber accurately. As with everything the right chain makes the job. The set up in the pick will cut 50 inches. Cutting a very large beech on Friday and I’ll post a pic.
It’s stable but needs the hammer in pins along the rails. The channel on the ends sits on a piece of angle so we have various sizes of wooden spacers that you use to measure how far to drop the angle and in turn your next cut. So once you get your first cutting plane then level both sides you can just use the spacers unless your doing something funky! I’m not particularly good at this “writing up” so if you have a question please feel free. (I’ve used pretty much all the Logosol gear but no other brands so I’m clueless in regards comparison)
