I'm thinking of getting myself one of these soon. LJ or SJ? Not sure. I read that the SJ is more versatile in that you don't need a redirect on your harness if the rope is at a flat angle or running over crotches and stuff.

I have the same dilemma. I've been using a LJ for seven years and recently put a strop under it so it would act the same as the LJ Twin. It's excellent for big pulls when ascending. I also recently got a Pantin and it's perfect with the LJ but not so good with the strop under it.

Am I right in thinking that you can't attach an SJ mid line so you have to feed the entire rope through it? This would put me off.

So my dilemma really is the LJ twin or the SJ.

Yep the SJ is end feed only.
