Timber trailers... what to look at / go for?

work has a junkari trailer and crane - think the crane is p7 but would have to check.

 

we made some mistakes in ordering but not massive.

 

right now its only got 2 sets of bolsters so all timber has to be 3 metres to fit on, cut any shorter and falls through - thats worst mistake we made by far.

 

steering drawbar is great for turns and just the extra reach, would never have one without.

 

spool block and pipes are a chore to put on if just one person, but ok to take off.

 

slighly bigger crane would be nice just for lift but as said if lifting big logs you must put some weight in first else it will fall over depending on when bravery runs out, hydraulic side legs but do feel the pads could be wider.

 

runs behind a valtra a93 so just 95hp but plenty of gears to choose from.

rear wheel weights on tractor help settle things down a fair bit, and if on open sites either keep front bucket on or front weights, just smoother less bounce once up to road speed
