K&H wedges are good, but when I did mine don't think I hardly used a wedge, mostly just a felling lever.

Are you talking about small tree felling course?

Cs32 is large tree felling.

Stere

High lift wedges are good or you can just put 2 small plastic wedges together as high lift.

You will definetly need wedges whatever make you chose..

Yes  c32 large tree   says learn how to uses wedges & a winch for hung up tree

Just asking for which wedges people would recommend to get as don't have any apart from smallest oregon

On cs31 I only used a felling lvr I think, never really used wedges etc.

Yeah i cant remember using wedges on my small trees course either.

Defo need em for big trees. You'll use the winch too obviously. We went through about 6 shear pins and the instructor wasnt best pleased the course providor had issued a pretty poor example of tirfor ?

As for wedges,i use the plastic stihl ones, although i dont do much forestry felling, mainly urban tree work so a pull rope is utilised more than wedges

My bad, you are right I was getting mixed up. I do fair bit of pre planning site clearance work, and find K&H and hilifts both good for felling large hardwoods. I bought a plastic insert for my Hilift but it caused horrible bounce back, since have change back to the wood insert and double ringed it.

It might depend on wot u plan to do after the course which wedges would be most useful.

Woteer u'll buy wil have a use, not like they go out of date or anything.

But hi lift wedges are very handy, i'd buy 2 and double ring them.

It might depend how big the trees actually are for the course thou, but really u could buy a set of Kw's and 2 hi lifts and u'll be covered for every thing (or buy 1/2 cheaper nylon wedges plus hi lifts if cash tight) Never priced those KW wedges

Hi lifts are quite handy when u work 2 or more togther on bigger trees (if ur doubling up wedges which works fine but u might run out of wedges if u need 2/3 hi lifts)
