Mines 01/17 built.
No problem with the needle cage.
Once bedded in its sweet.
Pulling 18" .325 all day
It's light, and cuts very fast with full chisel.
The 241 is a domestic model and won't last for commercial use.

241 is a pro saw, same class as 242 etc

No . It may be classed as a pro saw but the legend you speak of  ( 242xp ) is/was in its day a class  above me thinks .  Nothing revved higher then or since ?

To be fair I’ve had a few tanks through the 241 and didn’t think it was a bad saw at all... if I wanted a light weight rear handle I would certainly have it on the list
