£3400 for the first vehicle and £1700 for each subsequent vehicle applied for, assuming you are applying for a restricted licence.

 

A pal of mine who is definitely not without a few quid was surprised by the need to demonstrate funds.

 

Mischievously he sent them a photograph of his Rolex and said they could come and see it whenever they wanted.

 

He got his licence.

Ha, worth a try, but I'm not sure it would fly these days.

 

You need to be able to demonstrate access to those funds over a period of the 3 months prior to your application.

its not the short term its the on going inspections that I find hard to justify or I'd go get one now 7.5 might not offer enough pay load , or bite the bullet go through hgv & get a big bad boy one ,, I have a cpc so the unrestricted would let me use for H&R,

My inspections cost about £45 plus vat, every 6 weeks. I will apply to reduce that to 12 weekly in due course.

 

we got told by the firm that does ours coz its doing low milage just to do it once a yr not sure if thats ok or not ,think i will check it out :confused1:

No, I have a man who does them. You can do your own, but you have to be able to show that you are competent and have the facilities.
