First World Cup memory..

Vague memories of 86 and my dad shouting at the tv. First real memories of Italia 90 and platts winner against the belgiums. After that I was hooked. And now I thought it only fair to subject my boys and girl to the world of football to share in the grief of supporting England.

Anyway by ‘78 England still weren’t there!

Scotland were (bizarrely) Peter Lorimer et al.

Argentina won against a Cryuffless Dutch team. The Argies were particularly hairy at the time.

This is my first memory, and probably my first football heartbreak, 9yrs old and believed we might win it[emoji38], good side though, Dalgliesh, gemmell, souness etc.
Beating Holland 3-2, wonder goal from gemmell, shame about the two games before that[emoji849]

Portugal v Spain is a good watch the now.

First world cup memory was Archie gemmels goal against the dutch in Argentina 78.

Great game tonight with spain v ronaldo..

Ronaldo managed a hat trick and held spain to a draw

I wonder what he could do if he played in a decent international team

Maybe have a shot at the Euros, who knows?
