:dito:  Kretz. I'd probably only consider a reduction in the absence of any targets and if the client wanted to retain as long as possible. Otherwise they'll be paying twice and blaming you.

Aye, spot on ID.  The fact that Kretzch is associated with the black cinder, bubble texture, can throw people when the newer, grey white growth is also knocking about.

 

Also, the nature of Kretzch, being a heartwood rotter, means that the tree may well show little in the way of dysfunction until it snaps.
