Persuading The Costumer To Leave Safe Deadwood

I reckon this is a bit nuts tbh, I already see reductions where there’s nothing reduced (cue lots of back slapping “lovely job there mate, very light touch”) now we want to leave deadwood in trees?

We’re getting to the point where we are asking clients if we can just turn up at a job, look at the tree, climb up it, have a little cry, say a prayer to the king of the long tailed tits, get a selfie and come down.

I understand the leaving of monoliths etc. for habitat, but a few branches?

I try and talk about bats, hornets, woodpeckers and bugs but the clients eyes glaze over in confusion and they cry 'mais, cest pas jolie...'/ you can't see it from the road/ and our financial viability assessment which you're not allowed to see says we have to build where those yews are or go bankrupt ................................

You’re absolute right Mick ( love your description ). But i didn’t mean branches , i meant limbs something with 20 cm diameter. Why remove everything when leaving two or three meters are safe and can used by some beastie.

Some customers are nature lovers.
