Think it all depends on how much you want yo spend, you said NEW is this new to you as in late second hand or brand new.

I have had a few but simple "Best four by four by far" Land rover but the right one not TD5 or Freelander.

Disco 3 every time way;

1; Tows up to three ton easy

2; Fantastic off road with the amazing hill decent

3; Great for your boys sitting up higher, leather seats for all them spills!!!!

4; Great vaule secondhand at the mo good deals around.

5; Looks like a tree surgons wagon not a chelsea tractor, in tonga green looks great.

6; Can fit winch on the front and all bolt on's roof racks etc.

7; Looks big but not when your driving feels safe and solid, great ride.

8; You can get a five seater not just the seven which is cheaper to buy.

This is nice but think they only come as V8 2005 Discovery G4 edition cool!!!!

I have a couple of pals who have forgotten more then I know about land rovers old and new and they say best car they have ever built.

Worth a good look and a test drive Auto trader has some nice cars to look at.

If not then look at the Mitsubishi Challenger only up to 2006 but good all round car /four wheel drive with jap reliabity I had one for 8 years and never let me down will do all you are asking may have to put better tyres for the off road bit.

Pulled a lorry out of a field more then once with mine.

Worth a look and get a low milage one very cheap at the moment

Cheers Wattie
