Which 4X4?????

I'm looking at buying a new vehicle, one that I can select 4 wheel drive in. One that will be versatile enough to use for tree work but also be able to put 2 car seats in the back for my boys. I need a tow bar for chipper / trailer. I'm gonna be looking at winches for the front. I want fairly decent fuel economy, so up to a 2.5 turbo diesel will be plenty. I want subtle sign writing rather than a whole hog commercial affair. Need 4/5 seats but don't mind having boot space or pick up bed.

 

What do you guys reckon????????? Much obliged.

 

 

 

 

 

Oh yeah and I'm gonna be selling my beloved Audi A6 Avant SE 2.8 V6 to fund this venture so it has to also make me smile.

Bonnet intake is probably air flow into the intercooler, same as on the D22 Navara. Not sure that filling it with water would be a good idea even so!

have a look at the defender centre frank, they've got some nice double cabs atm.

Cheers. I know nothing about that sort of thing. Mine doesn't have an intercooler so no need for any air intake like that. I did like the winch mount though!

if you want a 4x4 that doubles as a car you are gonna be hard pushed tbh. Prob something jap or a ranger double cab, or a disco.

SUBARU is the only 4x4 that is a proper car aswell IMO. A disco is a big 4x4, and pick-ups are not cars. I've doen all sorts with mine, pulling trees over, dragging trunk around, getting the chipper in places. Of course ground clearance is an issue!
