Thought I'd share this as some might find it of interest.

I don't want this to turn in to a bitch fest about the Arbs (they're mentioned in the article, have no idea if they are AT members or not) but a debate around how TPO's are monitored and enforced by councils and general pruning standards might get some good debate going.

Great that action has been taken.

 

The fines are not nearly high enough imo. Its not like it was just a little bit off from the original remit. 

 

Did i really read "lopping" in the article?! 

 

It looks like the "original firm" had started a sympathetic reduction (look at 11 o'clock, and over the house) was this not enough for the client? hence them "not being able to complete the work" - kicked off the job by the client? 

did the client not bear any responsibility?

Tbh, I don't know the whole back story Josh I'll have a chat with the case officer to get a better picture.

From how the article is written it doesn't seem like the property owners were implicated.

Maybe the use of % is part the problem here Mark rather than the specific use of linear distance?

If %ages were used in the application, surely the LA (being wise to BS3998) would have refused to validate it
