I am torn on whether I should try one of these or not.

Anyone used one before. I have a lot of makita kit already so I have about 4 spare batteries lying around my workshop.

I haven't, but I know that a fairly gentle knock can wreck an lxt battery, so I wouldn't want it swinging about on a strop.  I reckon it would be a more useful tool if they put the handle on the back and the batteries on the top.

they make a rear handled one aswell amd i think knocking the batterys must be bad luck as ive dropped lxt tools 10 feet and not had any problems so far

quite possibly.  mine was a 2ft drop onto laminate flooring, landing on corner of battery.  it still worked until I came to charge it.

Waste of time as a wheel barrow. What you want is one of these....

 

carries 500Kg easily. Manual tipping of the rear body. 48V rechargeable batteries, they cost me £850 each. Absolute bargain!

That barrow is embarrassingly bad.

 

Anyone who can't push 100kg in a normal barrow deserves a Chinese burn, a dead leg and be told not to come back.

I'll have to borrow one of those for a joyride next time i'm in!

I've got a makita drill and angle grinder wit those batteries, lucky to get 10 mins out of one battery on the grinder. Cant see them lasting long at all on this

I have the angle grinder, drill and a nail gun all using the same batteries. The angle grinder sees one off in minutes but the drill and nail gun will go a few day between charges.
