I'd love to know how splice into both holes of the croll Tommy. Also I assume the elastic is buried into the tenex?

What size tenex?

12mm tenex mate. Elastic is buried in the tenex. I'd made one previously and it was making the Ice tail I had used bunch up as I'd stitched the elastic into the lock stitching. It worked but I didn't like it. Used a bit of Treemotion rubber to coat the elastic. Not used it in anger but should be fine
