yeah 10mm beeline, great combo with poison ivy, infact its probably my favorite cord at the moment. there has been some talk at MBs and on the buzz about the 10mm herniating but we will see. Ill be interested to see if its to stiff but ill give it a try and maybe reduce the measurements down a bit and see if it makes a difference

How did you find it?

 

I've not braved a kernmantle yet. I do like a splice to look tidy when it's done and it doesn't really seem possible with the fly.

 

On another note. Who's going to the rich hattier seminar tomorrow?

 

I've worked on a couple now and I don't like them much - it's interesting I suppose, but I find it hard work and at the end you've got what looks like a lop-sided eye splice!

I admit that I got better as I practiced the splice - temporarily taping groups of strands etc. - but still find it murder to include the jacket in the final bury.

I've seen Drew B's work on kernmantle and he seems to make it look easy!
