So here's my attempts over the the last 24 hours on and off 9mm Samson tenex 2 adjustable whoopies with pinto rigs attached and a 4M spiderleg ballencer ......not bad really for £22 considering a spiderleg is around the £45 mark....?

Why would you want to splice LSK?

 

I've made up a 5:1 pulley system, and wanted a neat start to the rope (it sits in under the double block on a becket - between four strands of rope).

Without a splice, the knot would be close to the lengths of 'moving' rope. With a splice, everything's neater.

The LSK was chosen because I had a bit of it lying around, and this system is kept assembled and ready to use.
