over heat cut out switch

Am trying to find out if the Timberwolf 150 has an overheat cut out fitted that stops the engine if it gets too hot.

If so wheres it fitted and would it be possible to fit some thing similar to an En Tec 30 DH that has a 4 cylinder diesel Kubota engine

I’m sure it has, at least my 2003 150 did.

 

Had cause to be grateful for it on a couple of occasions.

I stand corrected Mick, just looked at the wiring diagram for my 2007 it has one fitted, wires into the stress controller on pin 4. 

 

Should be easy enough to wire into the fuel solenoid to cut power to it if engine overheats.

It could be a low oil pressure cut off, when the oil gets really hot and thin it will trip.

Iirc, it’s water temperature, there was a thread about it years ago.

 

If you don’t have the water in the system it won’t work, ie leaking rad etc.

 

If the rad is choked with dust but you have coolant it works fine.

It fits into a tapped drilling just below the thermostat housing on the offside front of the engine, same side as the diesel injector pump.
