Morning folks,

I just purchased one of these  I built it on Saturday and started using yesterday on a trailer of brash I had approx 2-4" diameter and it ate through it quickly about 10 mins for the full trailer and fitted into one of those tonne bags so am very impressed on how it handled the branches pulling them out of my hands.

The assembly instructions were non existent and I had to follow the photos from the website to build it. The instruction manual is rubbish and as much use as a chocolate fire guard. They have included the Briggs manual.

@Rough HewnDid you get anywhere with your decision mate? There was a guy on here who really rated the Rock Venom chippers, I'd be interested to see they are going after 2-3 years. That really would make up my mind, I really want to support Rock Machinery as they have so many (from the outside) great products.

Yeah, probably going to give chipper a go in the next couple of months, work and finances willing.

Do you think you'll be going with GM? I'd love to try a Venom out for the day and see just how much they are capable of.

Green mech would be my choice, but
It's beyond my budget.
Been driving and chipping with one of these recently.IMG_1425.jpg
Very tempted by various used 4-6" towed chippers.
My local dealer will hire me a -750kg
for £100 a day now.
Going with the rock venom probably, quite tempted by the stump grinder too.
Have spoken with rock and they sound decent enough. They hold stock, so no ordering from afar.
Mostly I do domestic, so don't need a massive chipper a lot.
Chipping in back gardens into the hedge as mulch, or into builders bags on a trailer.

Yeah I only use 7-8" GM at work, but I'm not going to remortgage my house, everyone has big chippers around here and no doubt charges the earth for using them. I'm going to bottom feed from the whole industry with my 1.5k venom! B|

Have you checked out the skarper c90 sold by fr Jones. It's the new haecksler. 4200 Inc vat and looks very easy to change the blades. I have used the haecksler equivalent and it chips very well and pulls the brash in quick.

Also consider putting a deposit down and taking finance.
