Stihl v Husqvarna resale price

I’m looking at replacement for my old 036. (560xpg or a 362cm vw) I’ve always been a Stihl fan but I like the look/feel of the 560xp.

 

Why does a Stihl saw seem to fetch more money second hand than a Husky equivalent?

People have just heard of Stihl a lot more. Just need to look at motorsport on TV to see the name and then everyone believes that they are the best because they have heard of them. I believe the phenomena is called "Fake News"

Ahhh okay Donald [emoji16] fair enough. So are the husky 550/560 models expected to last the same as the Stihl equivalent? Obviously with correct oils and maintenance etc. My 036 has been a great saw. 18 years old and been well used but I know I can go pick it up anytime and it will run cut and perform very well.

stihl are better quality... end of!!

but husky make some good saws that stihl don't.....

stihl don't do anything to compare with the 560.... 261 362 would be the nearest but they still aren't a 560
