Those mechanisms are already in place by virtue of section 106 or CIL tariffs.  CIL is intended to replace the abymally administered s106 fiasco but it's implementation is 'optional' for adoption according to the desire of the LA....  What could possibly go wrong....?

you do realise its primarily first time buyers who foot the bill of 106/CIL.

A punitive tax that brings undesirables into nice new estates.

Not sure what you mean there donnk.

Anyone that purchases a house on a development subject to 106/CIL will shoulder elements of cost passed on by the developer - it’s not exclusive to FTB’s.

Really dont know what what you mean by 2nd para? Is it a criticism of the requirement for ‘affordable’ housing in larger developments?

Sorry, just not quite getting what you mean...

what i mean is the developer passes on this tax by upping the house price to the buyers the majority of which are first time. So its punitive on the young.

With regard to social, would you want to drop 600k on a nice house to find a dead head benefit scrounger 2 doors up ? Not all of course but only needs one and there are plenty of them.

Tickets to go to a Labour conference are £40 for white people, £30 for ethnic minorities.... It's sheer racism...

£40 seems quite a lot for a Labour conference.. It's more or less a full days wage for someone on minimum wage.

Is it not a numbers game? Don't all political parties pull similar sorts of tricks when they want more votes in what could be a general election year?

I wouldn't worry about the conference being beyond those of them that are on the minimum wage, they're probably all foreigners or bone heads living in social housing next door to a £600k house.
