New(ish) business relying on sub-contract work

Nothing wrong with used if happy to spend a bit of time getting it up to scratch. When I got my first chipper was a little timberwolf 18/100 I paid 2k for. Had it 2 years and never had to spend on it apart from a service and blades. It saved lots of time and fuel. I reckon in fuel costs alone travelling to unload it prob paid for itself in a few months, went from 2-3 trips a day to every day or 2 and then found closer tip sites so saved even more time and fuel.

Not sure. I've checked a 230 would cost me about £450 a month, which is doable if I'm getting enough of my own work to pay for it. But not at that stage yet.

I think a 160 is only 4k less in price.
